Blessing of the 7 Gates of Jerusalem

On the 9th of February, the Universal Church started a spiritual movement called the Blessing of the 7 Gates of Jerusalem. In order to determine blessings for individuals who participated in the most recent Campaign of Israel, Bishop Edir Macedo, along with other bishops from around the world and their wives, offered a prayer of agreement straight from the Jordan River on January 12.

Seizing the chance, a few of the bishops in attendance walked more than 6 kilometres around the Seven Gates of the Holy City of Jerusalem, which has never been done before in the history of the Universal Church.

Having been essential entrances to Jerusalem’s Old City for centuries, these seven gates are very significant both historically and culturally. They have played a key role in the city’s trade, defence, and religious pilgrimages. Bishop Renato Cardoso remarked, “We will explain to you the significance of each of the Gates of Jerusalem.”

You will have the chance to understand the significance of each of these gates and learn how to open any doors or gates that may be closed in your life every Sunday beginning at 10am. Don’t pass up this unique opportunity at the Universal Church closest to you.

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter.” (Psalm 118:19-20).
