The Cup of Salvation: Many people put a lot of effort into becoming successful, developing careers, and obtaining material belongings, yet they frequently fail to consider what matters most: everlasting life. Even though things in this world seem important, they are fleeting. For this reason, it is crucial that everyone take some time to consider their relationship with God and their soul’s future.
In Psalm 116:13 it is written, “I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord.” This scripture reminds us that God extends the gift of eternal life to everybody. Acceptance, on the other hand, is a personal decision that each person must make for themselves. It is freely offered but must be individually accepted.
What Does It Mean?
The story of the two criminals who were crucified with the Lord Jesus serves as a powerful illustration of this. Both men reacted significantly differently even though they were in the same circumstance. While one accepted the promise of eternal life and acknowledged the Lord’s authority, the other rejected it (Luke 23:32–43).
This stunning example demonstrates how God continues to extend the same invitation today. However, the decision is ultimately up to each individual. God does not force anyone to follow Him; He shows the way while respecting each individual’s right to choose.
As a result, the way we respond to God’s call determines our everlasting destiny. Those who accept the Lord Jesus and remain faithful are given the promise of eternal life.

This Sunday, June 28th, all Universal Churches in Kenya will hold the Cup of Salvation. All who attend will receive God’s power. This signifies your decision to devote your life to the Lord and embrace the salvation He provides.
