The Fast of Daniel: 21 Days to Disconnect from Distractions

Have you recently taken a look at your screen time? Our phones and other devices have become an indispensable part of our lives in the modern world. We ingest news, binge-watch countless TV show episodes, and browse social media for hours on end. However, have you ever considered how much of this is actually helpful? How much valuable time is being wasted on things that don’t really improve our wellbeing? That is why, the Universal Church, Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, introduces the Fast of Daniel: 21 Days to Disconnect from Distractions.

Have you ever thought about stepping away from technology to feel God’s presence?

He provides us with the chance to get closer to Him even during these trying moments. We will walk you through the Fast of Daniel, which is a special chance to be away from distractions and deepen your connection with God.

What is the Fast of Daniel?

The Fast of Daniel is a spiritual goal inspired by the biblical prophet Daniel, as recorded in Chapter 10 of the Book of Daniel. Daniel fasted for 21 days from enjoyable meals and distractions in order to seek God’s favor, insight, and understanding. However, this fast is not about eating but about removing worldly distractions that draw our attention away from God.

Why Take Part in the Fast of Daniel?: (21 Days to Disconnect from Distractions)

This fast is meant to show that God is your first priority. You will deliberately remove yourself from secular influences and diversions that pull you away from Him throughout the course of 21 days, from Sunday, March 30 to Sunday, April 20.

What is the goal?

The ultimate goal is to receive the Holy Spirit, which means that the Spirit of God lives within you. By committing to these 21 days of seeking God, you will create an environment in which He may work in your heart and begin a new life with Him.

How to Do the Fast of Daniel

1. Abstain from secular media and entertainment—just as Daniel avoided luxurious foods, you will avoid distractions such as social media (unless necessary for work), entertainment, and secular news.
2. Engage with spiritual content—instead of being distracted by the world, read the Bible and faith-based books. In addition, you can visit Univer Video to locate specific content during this era.
The Fast of Daniel Daniel provides an opportunity to refresh your spiritual life and connect with God. Are you willing to face this challenge? Set aside distractions and devote 21 days to seeking Him totally. If you sincerely want to accept the Holy Spirit and experience transformation, this is your chance.
