What is it you truly want? This is going to be our main focus on this Sunday of all that I truly want.
Everybody has times in life when they think that one thing may make all the difference. For some, riches is the belief that all of their issues will be resolved if they had more money. For others, it’s a relationship—the belief that everything would work itself out if they could be together and someone loved them back. Some see it as a career breakthrough, their ideal employment, or a major boost to their general well-being.
None of these items can provide long-term fulfillment or address every issue we face, even though they could enhance certain areas of our lives. According to the teachings of our Lord Jesus and the Bible, there is only one thing we should genuinely yearn for, and that is Him.
Consider a person who is looking for love in a relationship because they think it will make them feel less lonely. Even Nevertheless, a lot of people who are in partnerships still experience loneliness. Some people feel alone even when they are surrounded by others. There are many of answers in the world, but none of them can completely satisfy the soul.
But the only one with the capacity to genuinely change our lives is the Holy Spirit. We’re calling the first Sunday in May “The Sunday of All That I Truly Want” in order to highlight this.
The purpose of this unique day is to open our hearts to God’s Spirit. He is the strength that keeps us going till the very end, the foundation we require. The only one who can satisfy our most profound wants and draw us nearer to God is the Holy Spirit.
In John 15:7, Jesus said, “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
This is a strong pledge. God invites us to ask for anything as long as we remain near Him and follow His instructions. Imagine, however, putting aside all of your requests and merely requesting the Holy Spirit. That would be a yearning that would change your life.
What To Do To Participate In This Great Sunday Of All That I Want?
Join us on Sunday, 4th May, and prepare yourself to seek the greatest gift that God offers—the Holy Spirit. God promised:
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:11).
A 50-day journey culminating in the day of Pentecost includes this invitation. We will concentrate on seeking and getting ready to receive the Holy Spirit every week.
We invite you to join us in achieving this important goal. He alone has the power to totally change your life and guide you toward living the life that God has intended for you.
Let this be the time when God’s greatest gift and your greatest desire coincide.
