In a week, a lot may happen. Life may change, mistakes can be corrected, and lessons can be learned. Having this in consideration, the UCKG has made a special schedule for Holy Week in order to follow the footsteps of Jesus.
During the seven days leading up to His death and resurrection, or what is more popularly known as Holy Week, Jesus demonstrated that a week might usher in a fresh beginning.
His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week, which is followed by a number of moving occasions that Christians around the world commemorate.
Jesus had a purpose for everything He did, and that purpose was always to teach and provide people with an opportunity to experience the life that only He could provide. He provided an example for us all to follow and learn from during Holy Week.
Perhaps you’ve been wishing for a new and different life. You’ve looked everywhere, yet it seems like you’ve reached a dead end. Why not let God change you in some way?
From Sunday, April 13 to Sunday, April 20, come celebrate Holy Week with us at the Universal Church near you. We will draw lessons from every event that occurred and learn how to apply them to our own lives in order to improve them in each of our weekly meetings.
What Will Happen
During Holy Week, many people experienced a transformation in their lives. He had a profound effect on their lives, and He can have the same effect on you now! See our special schedule for this holy week:
Sunday, 13th April.

Triumphal Entry
- A multitude of people greet Jesus as King when He arrives in Jerusalem. This incident was dubbed the "Triumphal Entry." People swung palm branches and yelled for Him.
- “The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel!’” (John 12:12–13).
Monday 14th April

Cry Out of Purification with the Washing of hands
Jesus went inside the Temple, knocked over the tables of the vendors, and drove them out.
“Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.” (Matthew 21:12)
What in your life needs to be overturned or purified? Join us for a special Cry Out of Purification, with the Washing of the Hands, at the Prosperity with God meeting.
Join us especially 6pm
Tuesday 15th April

The Power of Faith and the Fulfilment of the Prophecy
Jesus cursed a fig tree that bore no fruit—a symbolic act that demonstrates the power of spoken faith, even in seemingly unchangeable situations. It was not the season for figs, yet the tree appeared fruitful. Jesus used this moment to teach the disciples the power of faith (see Mark 11:12–14).
Does your well-being appear to be ineffective? Join us in prayer and bring faith to your circumstances.

Wednesday 16th April

The Pouring of the Perfume (with the study Defending our Faith)
Lazarus’s sister Mary honored Jesus by applying expensive perfume to His feet.
“Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair.” (John 12:3)
How about you? She gave what she valued most. As we continue our Bible study, come learn how to defend your faith.
Thursday 17th April

Washing of the Feet
Jesus gave the disciples His last meal on this night, leaving behind important teachings from John 12–18. He washed their feet as an act of love and humility.
“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” (John 13:14)
Friday 18th April

My Family at the Foot of the Cross
Jesus’ arrest, trial, and crucifixion are commemorated on this sorrowful day. Despite His extreme suffering, humanity was saved by His sacrifice. At 10 a.m
Saturday19th April

Holy Saturday
Join us on Saturday for the Collective Fast. If you can, come fasting to declare that your impossible situation will be made possible. Jesus died for all to be saved, but many are still captive.
Sunday 20th April

Resurrection Sunday – He is Alive Event
Jesus came back to life! His resurrection attests to both the promise of eternal life and victory over death. When Jesus died, history underwent its biggest change. It will be decided that you will start your new life through faith if you write down the areas of your life that require change and bring it with you on the day.
