The Night of the Open Heavens

In the night of the Open Heavens programs, we will learn about the differences between God’s Kingdom and the Earthly Kingdom. For example, navigating the legal landscape of the East Africa Community (EAC) can be difficult due to regional variances in legal systems.

Laws and legal systems in the EAC differ according to area or country. Kenya, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and the Federal Republic of Somalia are the eight nations that comprise the EAC, each with its own legislative system in specific sectors. These differences emphasise the differences across countries.

Consider how much starker the contrast is between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of this World.

While Earth has limited resources, the Kingdom of God is beyond our conception. The Bible says that: “For He is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together” (Job 9:32); hence,

This verse illustrates Job’s insight that God is unlike us. God finds it easy to do what mortals cannot. You may find yourself in a situation that, by human standards, appears unsolvable—a lawyer may tell you your case is hopeless, or a friend may tell you your marriage cannot be saved. Individuals, like us, have limitations. When you turn to Heaven, you enter a domain where even the most impossible issues can be resolved.

Job goes on to add, “Do you have fleshy eyes? Do you see how a man does?” (Job 10:4).

Unlike humans, God does not perceive through fleshly eyes. He possesses eternal vision and sees the invisible. God sees impossibilities as chances to demonstrate His strength and perform miracles.
