7 Fridays of Spiritual Purification

Have you ever had the urge to restart your life? To make a new beginning and purify your life entirely? That’s the main goal of 7 Fridays of Spiritual Purification, our new prayer chain.

Water is one of the commonplace materials that God uses to accomplish amazing wonders throughout the Bible. Water isn’t particularly noteworthy on its own. But in God’s hands, it becomes a potent instrument when paired with obedience and faith.

Let’s examine some of these potent instances:

Water gushing from the rock: Through Moses, God supplied the Israelites with water from a rock when they were parched in the desert. In the most unexpected location, there occurred a miracle of supply.

  • Naaman and the Jordan River—A proud Syrian commander who humbled himself and dipped himself in the Jordan River as instructed by the prophet Elisha. As a result, he was completely healed of leprosy. It wasn’t the water itself, but the act of obedience and faith that brought healing.
  • The blind man in Jericho—Jesus healed a man born blind by instructing him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. When he did, he received his sight.

The washing away of sin and a new life with the Lord Jesus are symbolized by water baptism.
And salt comes next. According to Matthew 5:13, Jesus referred to His followers as the “salt of the earth.” Why? Because salt protects, cleanses, and improves food in addition to adding flavor. Jesus wanted His disciples to alter the lives of those who were suffering, and that is exactly what they did.

Food without salt is dull and lifeless, if you think about it. In a similar vein, living without God might feel meaningless and aimless. However, everything changes when God intervenes. Life is improved by faith in God in ways we might not have thought possible.

However, God’s power is what creates change, not the water or salt alone. These components are merely symbolic. The application of God’s Word is what genuinely changes people’s lives.

So, which area of your life do you need to see a transformation during these 7 Fridays of Spiritual Purification?

Love life—Are you facing disappointment, betrayal, or confusion in your relationships?

Spiritual life—Do you feel distant from God or feel weighed down by past mistakes?

Family—Is there constant conflict and tension in your home?

Finances— Are you struggling with debt or ongoing financial pressure?

Well-being—Do you long for peace of mind and better overall well-being?

Perhaps you need a spiritual cleaning if any of this speaks to you.

We are starting our new prayer chain, “7 Fridays of Spiritual Purification,” on Friday, June 13. It’s a path of rebirth and faith.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Bring a bottle of water with you each Friday.
  2. At the entrance, a small amount of salt will be added to your water, and it will be consecrated through prayer.
  3. At home, you can use the water to symbolically wash yourself, anoint your house, or in any other area of your life that needs purification.

You’re getting closer to the breakthrough you’ve been hoping for every week. Bring your needs to God and trust that He may bring about a rejuvenation from the inside out when you attend these meetings in faith.
